"It was so wonderful seeing [Our Brother]
in such good health and happy... the last time I saw him was when
he was in the hospital and the Doctor said he would always be
a vegetable. Sure would like to meet that Doctor again."
"All who know [Our Cousin] were astonished at the miraculous
progress he has made at Robin Hill. He looks healthy. He is walking
straight and upright. His tremors have subsided. His attention
span is better and he is able to carry on more fluent conversations."

Programs
Giving people with brain injuries the opportunity to "live
again" in a caring, low stimulus environment.
Based upon the belief that no two brain injuries are alike, Robin
Hill Farm has been developing a community-based continuum
of rehabilitative care for the past 24 years. This concept
allows us to offer the potential resident a program that reflects
their individual needs, goals and capabilities. The continuum
also gives a resident the opportunity to progress through our
programs as gains are made. As important, this approach allows
the resident to transfer to a more supportive environment, should
the need arise. In summary, we believe that a person living with
a disability should have the supports necessary to maintain the
least restrictive lifestyle possible, while having access to rehabilitation
that maximizes a person's true potential.
Robin Hill Farm has 5 programs in three
separate locations, all in close proximity to each other.
Our maximum client population is 35 across all programs. Each
is designed to offer rehabilitation options based upon individual
needs.
All programs feature:
- 24 Hour support or supervision
- Cognitive rehabilitation services
- Individual rehabilitation plans
- Complete room and board
- Low stimulus environment
- Typical transportation services
Briefly, in order to be considered for admission
into a Robin Hill program, the candidate must:
- Be diagnosed with a brain injury;
- Be medically stable;
- Not be considered a danger to self or others;
- Require and benefit from 24 hour support/supervision.
By design, we do not have medical or licensed active rehabilitation
personnel on staff. We do, however, have a carefully selected
group of Physiatrists, Neuropsyschologists, Occupation Therapists,
Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists and Neuroopthamologists
available to our residents, if required. This approach lets the
resident pursue a more normal lifestyle by "going to the
Doctor", rather than "the Doctor coming to me".
Also, this approach allows us to control costs, by providing these
services only when necessary.

Our residential programs are specifically designed as an alternative
to institutional living, and in all cases are meant for those
who need and benefit from 24 hour support.
Our programs are staffed on a 24-hour basis by life skills facilitators,
who assist the resident in accomplishing their goals and objectives
as identified in the written rehabilitation plan. We have almost
100 staff caring for 35 residents.
All of our programs are designed to offer the resident maximum
independence in the least restrictive environment. We also strive
to promote choice and self-determination concepts, balanced with
the mission of maintaining a rehabilitative environment.
